@15 Teach Awards
At Best Buy we believe technology can excite and engage students, creating a more valuable educational experience. We also believe that the students themselves should tell us what technology they need in the classroom to make that experience the best it can be. That's why students have the power to decide the winning schools in the new Teach@15 Awards.
@15 Scholarship
Through our focus on teens, called @15, Best Buy provides opportunities to help teens thrive. The @15 Best Buy Scholarship Program will help students prepare for a brighter future by helping to fund their college education. With the inception of the scholarship program in 1999, Best Buy has now provided nearly $15.5 million in scholarship funds to help more than 12,000 students. The program was restricted to high school seniors in the past but was expanded in 2009 to include grades 9-11. More than 125,000 students registered for this year's program.
Community Grants
Through the @15 Community Grants Program, Best Buy teams across the United States select non-profit organizations that provide positive experiences to help teens to excel in school, engage in their communities, and develop leadership skills. This year, Best Buy Children's Foundation will give $2 million through the Community Grants Program.
@15™ Exchange
With @15™ we made the promise that when teens speak, we listen. That's why we created the @15 Exchange, empowering teens to direct $1 million to nonprofit organizations from the Best Buy Children's Foundation.
Store Donations
Each U.S. Best Buy store has the discretion to support local nonprofit organizations with donations of product or gift cards. Donations come directly from local Best Buy stores to support 501c3 organizations within 50 miles of the store, including schools, libraries and after-school clubs. Take the store donation eligibility quiz to see if your organization is eligible to apply for a store donation. Then complete the application and submit it to your local store for a decision. The Best Buy Corporate office does not handle these types of requests.
